What is the maintenance value program or “MVP”?
A-1’s Maintenance Value Program is something appreciated by over 3,500 homeowners in the Treasure Valley. That might lead you to think, “What am I missing out on?” Our program is designed to keep your home comfortable year-round and ensure your equipment is running safely and properly.

Do I really need my heating and cooling systems serviced every year?
Absolutely! History shows that maintaining your equipment annually will extend its life. Regular maintenance can also improve the efficiency of your equipment, lower your utility bills, and give you peace of mind by preventing breakdowns. Why do we visit the dentist twice a year? The same reason you should have one of our professional technicians service your equipment- to prevent serious and untimely issues and to keep it in the best condition possible.
What do you actually do during a tune-up?
Our technicians perform a very detailed inspection and cleaning of your equipment during each visit. The full inspection list varies slightly depending on the type of equipment you have, but always includes checking for carbon monoxide, cleaning the coils, inspecting your air filters, and testing/checking a variety of the components on your equipment. I Have a boiler, oil furnace, or other equipment, are these eligible for the MVP?
Definitely! We constantly strive to educate our technicians and ensure they are knowledgeable in servicing a wide variety of brands and equipment. We can also add your water heater, humidifier, or zone system to your maintenance plan.

What exactly are “Comfort Bucks”?
Each year you sign up for our MVP, you receive 100 Comfort Bucks. This is our way to support and reward our loyal MVP customers. Comfort Bucks can be used as a discount on your new system purchase. We keep track of these for you and add 100 Comfort Bucks to your account after each MVP renewal. As an example; if you’re on our MVP for 15 years, that equals a $1,500 discount (the maximum) on a new system!
*MVP renewals must be made within 90 days of your expiration date to accrue. Comfort Bucks have no cash value and may only be used at A-1 Heating & Air Conditioning.
What if I might be moving soon or my house is up for sale?
We will miss you! However, this is why our program is completely transferrable. We can transfer your MVP (as well as your accrued Comfort Bucks) to your new property within our service area. You can even transfer it to the new homeowner. Just call us and we’ll make it happen.
How does the scheduling work once I’m on the program?
We remind you each season when it’s time to schedule your tune-up. We either send you a reminder postcard or e-mail each season (your option). Once you receive our reminder, you call us at your convenience to schedule the best time to meet with our technician and perform your tune-up. We try to make this as easy as possible for you!
What is the Price?
Your price varies based on your equipment and options included. We offer single or multiple year plans which can include extra price discounts. The multiple year option helps you lock in your price to protect you from inflation. Please give us a call or send us an e-mail and we’d be happy to give you a price for the plan based on the equipment you have in your home.
